My Story
03

My name is Mikayla Mondragon, I am a mother of three, disabled Navy Veteran, and Native Texan. My family has called Texas home for many generations. In 2000, I moved to central Texas to be closer to family. I graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 2003. In 2007, I joined the United States Navy as a Heavy Equipment Operator and have the honor of being a part of the Navy Seabees. I was attached to Naval Construction Battalion 11 during it’s recommission on September 14, 2007.
After sustaining an injury during training, my family and I moved back to Central Texas in 2011. We temporarily lived in Harker Heights before settling in Nolanville in 2014. We have enjoyed our many years here, and treasure the many memories that we have made. It has been so exciting to be apart of the rise and expansion of Nolanville. It is my hope that by being elected as a Nolanville City Council member that I can be an active part of that advancement and give back to the city that has given my family and I so much.

It’s About Accountability

Why Mikayla Mondragon?
As a mother, artist, and photojournalist, I am very detail oriented. The big picture is incomplete without the finely tuned details. My work in the military has taught me responsibility, honor, and integrity. I pride myself in making sure that every possible outcome is considered and investigated prior to making any decision. Punctuality is also important, as well as accountability.
Since my decision to run for Nolanville City Council, I have strived to make sure that I am up to date on current events, on-going and upcoming plans, as well as attending and participating in meetings. I have scheduled and planned classes to insure that I am ready for the responsibility and duties asked of me as a City Council member.
A few items I hope to focus on are:
I have lived in Nolanville longer than any of the other candidates running for Seat 4. Nolanville is my home and my family, and every family within Nolanville matters. My goal, if elected, is to help Nolanville grow, while making sure it maintains its small town charm. I have no other motive than that. My focus is on Nolanville and those who live here and call Nolanville home.
